Eddsworld - Surf & Turf Wars Pt. 1 Thoughts

Image
Wow, I updated this place way more than I thought I would this month! Not that I'm complaining tho. So... Eddsworld Beyond. It had a fun start with the Easter Bunny episode but honestly it kinda did drag with the ASDF Movie callback and Ellsworld episodes. They weren't bad but I honestly wished we were back with the main gang already. Well it's here now. This episode, in general, isn't the best but certainly not a bad one. It mostly has the same criticisms I gave to the Beaster Bunny episode along with the same positivies. Let's start with the positives. The animation is once again amazing and stays true to Edd Ghould's vision. Biggest highlight of the episode (for me) was all the past callbacks. There's a lot of fun ones in here. (''Matt Sucks'' episode where Matt was a vampire) (Obligatory Tord reference) (Matt turning into a lobster like Matt's own channel's name and the continuity carried from the Beastar Bunny episode with the

Archie Sonic (Reboot): Genesis of a Hero

After promising to cover Archie Sonic on here countless times, it's amazing to actually start talking about it. But you might be asking yourself, why did you start with the reboot? Well because after I while I realized that preboot was a big mess to even comprehend for myself. It would be like if I tried to explain the entirety of Kingdom Hearts and FNAF lore combined on here. So yeah, sorry preboot fans but I want to keep myself limited for now. I might go back to preboot sometime later but right now, I don't feel like it. When the reboot happened, I originally thought that SEGA would force Ian to basically remove any traces of DIC Entertainment material as quick as possible. They did that in IDW after all. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the opposite however but something was different. Before the reboot, the mentality of the comic was ''changing game elements to fit in better with the American canon'' but in the reboot, the opposite is true. Which is ve

Rick and Morty Season 6 Episode 2: Rick: A Mort Well Lived Thoughts

You know, I have been thinking how this episode was gonna pan out after how raw the premiere was and short answer, it was kinda like how I expected it to be. Not bad but certainly doesn't hold a candle to the premiere in terms of quality. Let's get the obvious out of the way first, the Die Hard parody B plot was kinda mid but I feel like they made it annoying on purpose the longer the gag went on. Doesn't excuse it but I didn't hate it's sheer existence at the very least. Now, here's the part the title of the episode refers to. The idea and execution of this part of the episode was really strong. Marta was a surprisingly interesting and deep side of Morty that I'm glad was tackled, it makes the end of the episode even more messed up tho. The end of the episode reveals that Marta chose to remain in the game while the rest of the pieces of Morty returned to his body. Which ultimately makes it so that the side of Morty that criticizes Rick is no longer a part
