It was a troubling day on Planet Perdiah. While two factions were fighting each other on the other side of the planet, someone was dealing with an inner conflict with herself. She made it outside the castle to see if there was a way to contact her friends outside. So far, she was out of luck. After hours of research, she decided to take a breather and travel around the kingdom. The last time she saw the outside world was when Maizie invited all of them over for dinner. Little did any of them know it would be the last time they saw each other in one place. The last time she was able to see her boyfriend without anyone standing in their way... Stuck in her thoughts, Cloe almost tripped because of a bunch of crystallized children suddenly appearing in front of her. They were playing catch with each other. Even though they were crystallized, they were still allowed to be kids. Cloe notices an old-looking lady staring at her. Cloe could only assume she was their mother.
Hello?

Cloe’s tail starts wagging from being worried.

Back inside the Vengeful Rubies’ base, it was darker than ever before. Presumably, the explosion made the lights go off.

Artender angrily looks at Hood, but Hood kept pointing at PotaTeo, pinning all the blame on him.

Perdiah’s a mess right now and you three are still going to stick to your old ways?!

There’s this queen called Maizie who wants to hunt down and crystallize all of us!

Markus was confused but intrigued. Someone that Murray knew was behind this all along. And whether he liked it or not, teaming up with the so called “heroes” would make keep him and his crew much safer in the long run. But... he couldn’t walk back now. He touched his eye patch... reminded himself of the past. Afterwards, he smirked at the helpless Vengeful Rubies.

* Snaps his finger as his teammates readied themselves to fight *

Emily stopped talking the moment she saw the chaos inside. She was speechless.
* Points at the gemstone *

Meanwhile, Marigold was looking at the gemstone in awe. She knew about these gemstones from her time in the pocket zone.

Before Markus could fire an arrow, Artender punched Markus in the head, causing him to fall for a brief moment.
EMILY, GET OUT OF HERE!

It was too late for peace now. With Artender and Markus’ shouting, everybody in the room started fighting each other.
Murray!
Blow up the entrance so no one can leave!

Hood was able to stop Murray from throwing a bomb with a kick to his stomach.

Joyce! You catch her-
Both Artender and G tried hitting Markus again, but he was able to back away before he was hurt. It was a chaotic mess.
You imbeciles!
* Dodges an arrow *
Sorry Markus but we can’t let you have that gem!
We will take it even if we must DIE for it!
Meanwhile, Emily was running for her life. Both the cowboy scientist and the mechanic were trying to catch her. Both didn’t use their projectiles to not damage the gem and hurt the kid.

Markus says “screw it” in his head and decides to go after Emily himself. He shouted for backup but noticed that both of his teammates were already preoccupied. He suddenly stopped as he saw Artender trying to trip him with his leg. He was holding a broom to use as a weapon.
You again!?
I will not repeat myself again.
* Points at Markus with the broom *
Surrender now or face the consequences!
Oh buddy, we have gone through this same song and dance long enough.
I think you already know my answer to that.
Artender sighs in sadness. He really didn’t want to continue the fight, but he had to for their future.

Artender does a quick maneuver as he hits Markus’ hand which causes him to drop his crossbow.
You dirty snake!
Markus tried taking back the crossbow, but Artender kept pushing it farther and farther away with the broom. So, Markus decided to attack Artender head on, only to get hit by the broom’s pointy side. Markus looked around for backup and saw Joyce.
Joyce, lend me a hand!
I GOT IT!
Artender noticed all the oncoming points coming towards him and braced himself for impact. Only to see that his son, now grown again, blocked all the shots.
What the-
PotaTeo starts rolling towards Joyce which frightens but also disgusts her.
Ugh, what is this unnatural being?!

Markus was finally able to take back his crossbow as he pointed right towards Artender’s head without him noticing.
Say goodbye, Mr. Dowell!
But before he could take the shot, he felt someone grabbing him from the back.
Let him go, you jerk!

Markus was trying to hit G, but he was moving like crazy. Not to mention he couldn’t exactly hit where he was so he was constantly hitting himself in the process. Thankfully all that noise finally made Artender realize what was going on.
ENOUGH!
As Markus manages to get a hold of G and smashes him to the ground, Artender was there to help. Artender was visibly worried for his friend.
G, are you alright?
I will...
* Coughs *
I will be fine.
You just kick his butt!
* Angrily looks at Markus *

Meanwhile, Hood was still bullying Murray by constantly hitting him on his head and not letting him pull out one of his bombs. But then, a potion hits Hood’s head from behind.
UGH!

Suddenly, Hood notices Joyce appearing next to her as she pushes her to the wall, far away from her friend.
Let him go, you jerk!
* Reaches out her hand *

* Helps him get up *

(Still confused) O-okay!
Murray spots G and ducks just in case he attacks with his hammer. But surprising him, G could only throw a weak punch. He looked dizzy suddenly.

* Looks at his hands *

As Emily started to flee, Joyce realized she had to stun her.

She threw a quick potion at Emily but was shocked to see G jumping in front of her instead. He was now paralyzed, with Emily nowhere to be seen.
BLAST IT ALL!
W-where’s the kid?!
I don’t know but we can’t lose her!
Joyce quickly looks around and notices their boss being surrounded by Hood and Artender. She had to help him.
I will help the boss!

* Smiles at him *

For the first time ever, Murray realized that he was happy around Joyce for once. He smiled back at Joyce, finally accepting his friend’s new attitude.

Joyce quickly rushed in to save her boss.
* A potion hits him on the head *

* Tries hitting Joyce but fails *

While G was paralyzed, he was still watching the fight go on without him. It almost made no difference with or without him over there... without his powers, he was worthless. Because of this, he was starting to feel like a burden to the group.

* Holds her hand and gets up *
At this rate, we will be fighting for hours!
* Notices something *

* Throws another potion at Artender and Hood *

We have to get him before he catches up to Emily-
Suddenly, Joyce teleports in front of Artender and pushes him back.

We have to end this madness once and for all!
Before he could process what was going on, PotaTeo was knocked away by a... magical card? It was anything like Artender has ever seen before. But he couldn’t focus on that as his son was far more important.
Teo, are you alright?!
PotaTeo struggled to move his arms and gave his dad a small thumbs up instead. Artender noticed Hood also getting knocked away but the same... potion? It was hard to tell what he was looking at in the mist of the battle.
GRR!
Those morons will pay!
Artender looks back at the two Rascals after helping Hood get up. Her and himself were the final resistance.
Give us the gem now and we will spare your lives!

Meanwhile, inside the Crystal Kingdom, the lone half robot man was wondering what has happened to the love of his life. Not to mention Maizie’s reaction to their plan was the tipping point. She either believed it or it was game over for the both of them. He couldn’t allow Cloe to be crystallized if Maizie ever found out. He could only hope Cloe was alright. While he was still in his thoughts, he heard sounds of his door knocking. And unsurprisingly, the queen showed up to make fun of him once again.
* Carrying a tool kit *

Maizie was shocked. She quickly looked around the room in disbelief. Where was Ms. Meow? And more importantly, who was responsible for this?
Where is Cloe?!
* Pretends to act sad *
She... was crystallized in front of my very eyes by one of your awful crystal knights!
But it doesn’t make any sense!
I didn’t authorize her crystallization!
Maizie turns back around and thinks for a moment. Who could have possibly crystallized her... But then, she looks at the window in the room and starts smiling to herself. Yes... YES... she could turn this to her advantage.

I’m sure you were very distraught after your girlfriend’s crystallization.
Oh yes... I miss her so much...
* Chuckles *

Murray has been looking for Emily since Joyce told him to go find her. He picked up a torch on his way there to make things much easier for himself. While he was still searching, he couldn’t help but wonder... why was he even doing this? Stealing this gem from the heroes of Perdiah just didn’t sit right with him. It wasn’t like the gem could protect them from the crystal knights either. It was all just pointless to him. Suddenly, he heard the sounds of faint steps. Murray knew this had to be Emily. He slowly walked towards the room the noises came from and saw a bed with a few toys lying around on the ground. He crouched and peeked under the bed. She was there.
G- go away!
* Hugs the gemstone *
I won’t let you take this!
No, no, it’s alright!
* Raises his arms *
I don’t want to hurt you!

Before Emily was about to run away again, she noticed something about him that none of the other bad guys had. He looked like he was being honest with her. So instead, she slowly got up and sat down on her bed, waiting for a response.

* Notices Robert behind her back *

Emily didn’t know how to describe her feelings, so she touched her heart first and then Murray’s heart second. While that startled Murray for a second, he quickly figured out what she was talking about.

Everyone in the room suddenly looked at the two in shock. Even the paralyzed G and PotaTeo were surprised. Murray and Emily were both carrying the gemstone together.
We must stop fighting, boss!
This could be our one chance at having peace!

Before Artender could stop Joyce, the trio were nowhere to be seen. They were teleported away somewhere. But where exactly, the crew had no idea. Everyone was shaken by the encounter. Especially Artender.

Artender didn’t know what to say to her. Because… she was right. This really wasn’t her fault at all. In fact, it was her family’s doing that they were now stuck like this. The whole place was a mess after the fight. They had to start from scratch all over again. Meanwhile, G and PotaTeo were finally free from the potion’s effects as they helped each other get up. G was moments away from breaking down. Just a few weeks ago, he was one of the most powerful members of his team, always fighting bad guys with his best friend. But now? He couldn’t come to terms with the fact that he was useless to his team now. He couldn’t go on like this for much longer, he had to do SOMETHING to be useful to his team again.
Back at the Crystal Kingdom, Cloe was waving goodbye at Misty and her adorable kids. She had to keep looking for some way to communicate with her teammates. But suddenly, she heard a siren coming from the castle itself. It was telling every crystal knight to come to the castle. This must be important, she thought. She quickly made it to the castle and started wandering around the corridors. She wondered what was going on. Though she was relieved knowing that she could always ask Bushra about what was going on at any given moment. But before she could arrive at the cafeteria, she bumped into the last person she wanted to see.
